But just as you mention, I would not get rid of old vinegar but instead use it for cleaning purposes, I love that I can clean even our babies toys with vinegar and not have to weary about chemicals like in Clorox or other cleaners.

Why, after decanting from a plastic vinegar bottle, does the vinegar 1 form a clear but formed film,and later days turn the clear vinegar to a clouded appearance.
I have an abundance of mint this year and have tried freezing it after chopping it up and freezing in ice tube trays using vinegar as the liquid medium into little cubes ready for my mint sauce on my Sunday lunch.
