Except as expressly authorized by Lulu Exchange, You agree not to sell, license, distribute, copy, modify, publicly perform or display, transmit, publish, edit, adapt, create derivative works from, or otherwise make unauthorized use of the Materials. Please note that by doing so, You hereby irrevocably assign to Lulu Exchange, and shall assign to Lulu Exchange, all rights, title and interests in and to all ideas and suggestions and any and all worldwide intellectual property rights associated therewith. You agree to perform such acts and execute such documents as may be reasonably necessary to perfect the foregoing rights.
The LuLu Money Mobile APP Services will be available 7 days a week, 24 hours a day but there is no warranty that the same will be available at all times. You agrees that LuLu shall be entitled at any time, at its sole discretion and without prior notice, to temporarily suspend the operation of the LuLu Money Mobile APP Services for updates, maintenance and upgrading purposes without any liability from its end.
You agrees and undertakes to be bound by and to comply with all of the Procedures that LuLu may issue from time to time. All such passwords and the Security Codes must be kept strictly confidential and must not be disclosed to anyone else. Until and unless the Customer notifies LuLu, in accordance with Clause 3. LuLu shall be entitled to rely on such Instructions, whether they actually originated from the Customer or purportedly originated from the Customer. You accepts that all erroneous or inadvertent messages received and processed are his responsibility.
Use of Lulu Money You shall always comply with the following and hereby agree Not to use Lulu Money for any purpose other than to access Your own Account, perform Transactions using the Lulu Money Services Not to permit or enable any person to access the Software, or leave his mobile phone unattended in such a manner as to enable others to access the Software.

In certain cases, payment of a money transfer may be subject to local taxes and service charges. The beneficiary may incur additional fees for receiving funds sent by You. Transfers should be sent to a local beneficiary bank account, otherwise the receiving institution may convert the funds at its own exchange rate or reject the Transaction. If your book does not have a Lulu-owned ISBN, then your earnings are not royalties but simply, "Other Revenue," which is the amount of money you make on each sale of your published material.
Lulu pays creator revenues by either paper check or directly into a PayPal account. If we do not have a payee on file, we cannot send you revenue payments. At this time, we do not offer bank or wire transfers, direct deposits, or other payment methods.
For more information, please review Section 8 of the Lulu Membership Agreement. You must have all payee and contact information completed in your account. Be sure to log onto the PayPal site first to create your PayPal account there before setting up your payment contact information on Lulu. These payments are valid for 30 days before they expire and roll into the unpaid revenue for your payee. If that happens, you will receive the funds again on the next scheduled payment date from when the money returned to your account.
Check payments are made within 45 days of the end of each financial quarter every 3 months. Checks issued by Lulu remain valid for 90 days from the issue date. After that time it expires and is null and void. Once a check becomes void, the funds are returned to the payee and will be included with any other unpaid revenue on the next applicable payment date.
If you select Publish Your Book for your project on the Start step, you will be required to assign a payee to that project. The final Review step will be locked and you will be unable to finish the publishing process until a valid payee is added. Payees are saved in your account. Once a payee is created, you can select that payee from the dropdown menu while publishing another project.
Payees can be edited while revising any project the payee has been added to. If you haven't created one yet, please review the following steps to create and assign a brand new payee to a project:. If you only have one payee profile linked to all the projects in your account, you can access it through one of those projects to make the necessary changes. Editing a payee in any existing project will update that payee for all projects.
Previous unpaid revenue will remain associated with that payee and continue to be consolidated with additional sales until the next scheduled payment date.
Be mindful that any changes to your remittance information may delay payment of creator revenues depending on the schedule for the updated method chosen. Some creators choose to work in collaboration with other writers, designers, editors, and illustrators.
As such, Lulu provides the option to split revenue between multiple contributors when assigning payees to the project. For each contributor that you want to receive revenue, a separate payee must be created with their contact information, tax forms if applicable , and the payment method.
Please be aware that only future revenue will be split. Sales recorded in your account prior to the creation of a new payee and revenue split will be unchanged and cannot be moved between payees.
There you can view your sales history and your total estimated unpaid revenue prior to any tax withholding based on today's currency conversions. The Date Reported column indicates when Lulu received the data regarding that sale which can vary for channels outside of Lulu , while the Date Sold column refers to when the purchase was actually made. Now roll ahead to today, June 12th, While doing a search for my book title to see how it was displaying on a site called TaleFlick where I was trying to sell it now I discovered in the search results it was still listed on Amazon. I clicked the link and saw that it was being sold as NEW by Amazon. The publisher was listed as LULU. For some reason Lulu was now selling my book again even though I told them to take it off the market years ago. I sent LULU an email demanding it be removed or I would take legal action for copyright infringement.
So I tried Chat. How about emailing customer support? This must never happen again. Wow, I am shocked by this article, and the negative comments. Having published a number of books all through Lulu, not only have I never paid up front except for my first set of ISBNs, I have been paid every month since for sales in multiple channels. Marketing… Lulu, like any publisher will never market for you, you have to put in the work yourself. Customer services … rarely needed, but I had a query this week, emailed them, got a reply within 24 hours.
Research, yep, done that on both fronts publishers, and my market …I spent a long time researching self publishing companies, and my niche, and still choose to use Lulu, and self hundreds of books every month.
